Happy new expansion week in Lord of the Rings Online! It’s surreal to finally be at the capstone of LOTRO’s ambitious 2023 roadmap, not to mention the first full-bodied expansion in two years. My hat’s off to this dedicated team for pulling together an adventure that takes us in a bold direction and explores part of Middle-earth that we As a 'Tolkien nut' it's probably worth picking up 'War of the Ring' anyway even if you will only ever just look at the map/cards/figures and push the pieces around solo playing as both sides. I'm pretty sure there is a procedural solo-bot that someone posted to BGG somewhere that lets you play as the Fellowship against a pseudo AI. 2. Feature completeness: Mod with greatest inclusion of expansions and/or promos available for the board game title. 2. Scripting: Mod with scripting that most reduces work in setup/play for players. 3. Component Quality: Mod with the best visuals/usability in terms of component quality. 4. This set does not include any expansion components. First, many of you like to play War of the Ring "as is" without expansions, and adding these components would make the Anniversary Release more costly. War of the Ring Expansions: Worth it? Do they enhance the game, or bog it down? Are more rules and a longer setup worth it to unleash a Balrog/spiders, or can you not improve on the original? Related Topics Three Peaks has something like 70 missions that rotate daily, but the rewards are almost purely cosmetic. It seems each update after this is offering some sort of jewelry or armour pieces that are relevant to your level. But you don't need Three Peaks to do missions in other zones. 1. viperswhip. Simply put, chunks of BotTA have been reworked, and released as part of both (Smeagol, Galadriel, alternate Witch King, & Balrog) & (tactical battle system). If I could get a copy of BotTA for a reasonable price, I would consider picking it up just for the Rohan & Gondor battle scenarios, but I wouldn't bother with the expansion stuff for WotR as most of the worthwhile bits have either been I will be your Host and Guide Zollin Ironshield!
