I own MK7 GTI Fully Bolt on Stage 3 from APR about 420hp I also have 2018 TSI 1.8T to get to 350hp you will need to upgrade the Turbo, most likely Downpipe,Intake,Intercooler and Exhaust. This MK7 Golf GTE engine has a code of CUBK:-1.Torque-plate honed cylinder block with reduced cooling jacket depth. 2.Piston in cylinder clearance adapted to cylinder block to reduce noise, blow-by gases & friction. 3.Main bearings & conrod bearings have a special coating to reduce wear.

VW Golf Mk7 long-term reliability? - SLO76 : I’d have the Civic here although the Golf with the belt driven 1.4 TSi motor and a manual box is about as robust as VW’s get these days. They do suffer trim and electrical problems and slave and master cylinders are known weak points.
